Installing a JetKVM into a rack shelf

Required Items

• LabChassis rack shelf with JetKVM mounting
  • LabChassis keystone rear extension
    
  • 3 x M3x10mm machine screws
  • 2 x Cat5 or better keystone couplers
  • 1ft ultra-slim Cat6 Ethernet cable (Bootless cables are recommended)
• JetKVM and bundled accessories
  • JetKVM unit
  • 1.5ft USB-C to USB-A cable
  • 1.5ft slim HDMI cable
  • Optional: RJ-12 6-pin extension cable

Assembly Steps

1. Slide the JetKVM into the front of rack shelf until the top edge of the JetKVM is flush with the front panel.
   
2. Secure the JetKVM into the shelf using a provided M3x10mm machine screw by clamping the JetKVM from the side. There may be a small "pop" or "snap" as the clamp is tightened. This is normal and is a manufacturing feature separating.
   
3. Connect the JetKVM cables to the rear of the KVM. Note: The type and position of the connectors may vary by revision of the JetKVM.
   
4. Insert Cat5 or better keystone couplers into the rear end of the LabChassis extension. 
   
5. Connect the JetKVM ethernet cable to the top keystone port (labeled "NET") and the optional 6-pin RJ-12 JetKVM extension cable to the lower keystone port (labeled "EXT").
   
   
6. Snap the LabChassis keystone rear extension onto the rack shelf.
   
   
7. Secure the keystone rear extension onto the main rack shelf using an M3x10mm machine screw on the top clip.
   
   
8. For additional security, turn over the rack shelf and use another M3x10mm machine screw in the bottom clip of the rear extension.
   
   
9. Tuck the extra lengths of cable inside the rear extension and connect the HDMI and USB-A cables to the mini-PC.
